got a private Nova question, which might be of some interest for the HW side
of BOC-l:
> I have some questions about the Nova Drive boot you picked up. Can
> you describe the CD itself? I mean, is it silver or gold? Is
> there any labelling or words on the disk, or perhaps a paper
> sticker attached to the disk? And finally, what is the total
> length (time) of the CD?
Well, if you don't expect the CD to be anything else than a usual music
compact disk, and you're not familiar to the CD Recordable technique - you
don't going to suspect anything strange. It is very well done, and the paper
inserts and things if high bootleg quality. (Now I understand the Cover
Space Ship is the same from the _HotMG_ cover, launhced together with a
'Sputnik' head - thanks Henrik Hawkeye)
But if you look close at the CD itself - I got three to compare with now,
sorry they're all booked up - you understand what the dude has done. The
golden 'up' side has a a poem printed on it, with the record label and the
usual 'compact disc/digital audio' logo. I said it was printed on it, but no
- it's a transparent plastic film inside the CD with the logo's and the
poem. Especially the printing of the CD logo is 'bootleg quality' - it's a
copy of a copy of a copy... He had tried to cut it in a circular shape, but
he had done it at free hand - and it is full of small air bubbles, and a few
bigger ones.
Playing side is in a green shade - that's the short living dye Carl
described earlier on BOC-l.
My CD player reports total playing time - 74:33
