I appreciate the effort that has gone in to the Codex thus far, FoFP & Jill.
I have a suggestion that would make it even more useful for people like me
and could be some fun.
I was playing various versions of songs trying to figure out which I'd put
on a tape for a friend. Suddenly it dawned on me. How about if the Codex
rated the various versions of the songs or noted which ones were distinct
variations worth having, if you can't have it all. You have it started with
some comments on variations of a single version of a song. For example,
the Do Not Panic version of "Shot Down in the Night" might be the best
version of that song. You might just do a number code of 1 - 7 if there are
7 versions or a note for odd variants. It would help me prioritize my
collecting and make sure I target the cream. I want at least the highlights
if not the whole list.
You 2 might do a strawman and then let others review and comment with some
sort of consensus final posted. It would be an opinion, but as good a
starting point for filling my collection as I can think of.
