i got hassled one time when i was 15 - i was wearing my club ninja tour
shirt with the big cult symbol as a throwing star and this dude came up
to me as i was going down the street and called to me about my shirt. I
thought he was a fan so i stopped and he he laid into me about all that
satan crap and i listened and got teary eyed -not because i felt sinful
or guilty of anything but because this guy had the gall to harass me
about something that brought me such great pleasure and i resented it. i was
just a punk kid but that really pissed me off and is one of those
formative events that made me what i am. Ive got my own religion now
based on the sanctity of amplification, the holiness of reverb and the
everlasting power of full on guitar frenzy.

btw - anyone else ever heard the deal about boc astrally projecting
themseves over the audience when they played? It seemed to come up a lot
when i first got into boc - i think its mentioned in one of those rock is
satan books ive seen too -any explanations?, Al?
