Bob Calvert project

I am reminded that there used to be a record shop in Newcastle where the
proprietor was a close personal friend of Bob Calvert during the time he
was with Hawkwind and afterwards as well.   The shop also was usually
well supplied with Hawkwind vinyl of more or less rare quality.

Can anyone here (I ask those of longggggg memory) recall the name of
that shop or the proprietor, or have any idea if it is still around.   I
visited it once, it was little more than a yellow portacabin on a wide
freeway, near (I think) a bridge or underpass.

Is there anyone from the Newcastle area mailing to this list.....

Just thought I could pass this info onto the guy involved in the Robert
Calvert project.
