No, Moorcock was one of few BOC collaborators who was paid. What happened was
that Eric took Moorcock's lyrics without making appropriate arrangements
regarding the publishing, rights to which were owned by the huge company
(name escapes me, Albert can fill in the details) that does Moorcock's books,
etc, which then sued the band, all of whom had to pay a huge settlement, a
very high price (and more than what the actual songwriter royalty would have
been) for Eric's "creativity."
