OFFTOP: Gong US tour??

Just saw this posted on the rec.music.progressive newsgroup.  Sounds fantastic!

Hi all you pixies and gong-o-philes,

I have news from credible folks that a Gong US tour is planned
for March, with a couple of New York and other shows supposedly
already booked.

This is supposed to be a variation on the Gong 25th Anniv. Classic
lineup - rumored to be teleporting in are Daevid and Gilli, Mike
Howlett(!), Tim Blake and Pip Pyle, with Steffi Sharpstings on
gitfish. Supposedly they'll all bus 'round the US of A in a big way
for a month or so. Possible variation is that Daevid's son might be
drumming instead of Pip.

Strong and Streamin'  - this would be the first Gong tour of the
classic ilk in the US since, uh, I forget. Mid 70's? A once
in a lifetime show for folks like me that couldn't afford to hop a
plane for last years anniversary bash!

I still think a combined 'Lollapalooza' type tour with Hawkwind, Ozric
Tentacles, Porcupine Tree, Gong, Spiral Realms, maybe System 7, and the
reunited Amon Duul II would be a fantastic idea!!!  How could we make this
happen in Summer, 1996 for either the UK or US (or both)???
