Dave,
Come to think of it he definitely did mention Clapton, Beck and Page
as well.  I alluded to Danny Kalb and surf music 'cause they seemed
so off the wall when envisioning Buck's style.  And of course, BOC
covering at least two Clapton tunes should have made for an obvious
connection.
