If not a short term return, certainly down the road.  Albert realizes
that BOC [and now the Surgeons] are, at heart, a CULT, a commune with
their fans.  BOC has lost sight of the communal aspects of music.  By
keeping in touch with the fans, the Surgeons are showing a two way
commitment, and they will be rewarded by continuing fan loyalty.  I
don't see the same kind of sliding away of fans that occurred for
BOC.  Of course, that could change if Albert vapor locks and starts
turning out shit like Club Ninja.  Somehow I just don't see that
happening...

Right!  Even if you can't book ALL your gigs ahead, and try to
squeeze a few extra in here and there, you would certainly have a lot
of them booked well in advance, and these could be included in a
mailing...
