If HW want to play bigger shows in the US they need more exposure.
All the Griffin releases were good, but they need to get out and gig
a bit and worry more about getting in a good show of respectable length
than worrying about whether the light show will be big enough etc.
I *still* say Hawkwind should try to arrange to play some of the
big science fiction conventions in the States. I always encountered
people there who had heard of the band but didn't know much about them.
Simply being billed as "British Sci-fi Rock Band" will probably get them
a crowd at just about any US convention :) Plus they could have fun
wandering about the place and looking at neat stuff. And can you
imagine Hawkwind doing a panel on "SciFi and Music"!? Amazing!
That would be wicked--a US Hawktour at SF cons and the Roswell fest.
What a trip!
Cheers,
Carl
