Wow, we're getting back to Cretaceous times here, but yes, vividly.
I also seem to remember EB shooting something like a bottle rocket
out of his hand toward the rafters.  And of course, bouncing the
drumsticks off the floor and catching them and smashing the cymbals
during CoFWRaR or alternately whipping them with chains during the
same song.  Hey, in the 'Goldmine' story they admitted that a turning
point in their career was an early tour with Alice Cooper.  Probably
saw how his theatrics went over, and adapted the theme for
themselves.  Personally, my favorite f/x was during the laser days
when they had a matrix that made the stage look engulfed in flames
during TCtLDoM.
