This band is great! They released two albums in 1971 and 72, and out of
curiosity I ordered their first album (on CD) from Blackmail in the UK.
Very heavy, take no prisoners political heavy metal. Imagine a cross
between early Hawkwind (Urban Guerilla or Ejection come to mind) and
Blue Oyster Cult (say, Transmaniacon MC or Hot Rails to Hell) with a
good dose of MC5 and Steppenwolf or Blue Cheer... rumbling heavy bass,
very heavy chopping guitars, the odd sax, angry lyrics about revolution
and violence... songs like Ascension Day ("When we rise, power to the
people, when we rise, power to the workers, on ascension day"), M.I.5's
Alive ("Let's free the working class, we're tired of licking the
government's ass"), Preaching Violence, Working Class Man and Get Out of
Bed You Dirty Red are uncompromisingly angry and heavy riff-o-rama
tunes. Very ahead of its time and it comes highly recommended!
