The town is actually Opa-Locka, with a "c".  the Obligatory Hawkwind Spelling
Error convinces me it really is what they meant :).  Who knows, did they tour
anywhere near there?  They might have just seen the name on a map when
getting hopelessly lost and thought it sounded cool...  But now someone's
going to tell me about Magnu, Alabama :))
