Well, Illuminati Online was the name of the BBS run by Steve Jackson Games
that was raided by the FBI as part of "Operation Sundevil" all those years
ago.  I guess they've developed into an ISP arm since then.  Maybe the
clash with the FBI is what attracted the-nameless-representatives-
of-Hawkwind (e.g. DC Web Designs:) to use them as an ISP instead of a
UK-based company like, say, Demon Internet or Pipex (which, you'd think
would make more sense, logistics-wise).  It makes me wonder, actually, how
much direct input the band have in this, or whether it is just a product
of the EMI publicity arm.  I mean, the WWW page contents are concerned solely
with promoting the remasters so far (plus a little plugging for EBS).

Anyway, to add to Steve's info, here is a tiny bit more (e.g. IP
addresses, etc.), included at the end.  Again, "Unix heads" will be able
to figure this out...

PS: The serial entry for the hawkwind.com domain would indicate that it
was registered in the DNS on the 30th April, 1996.  Tsk, tsk, and it took
us over a month to sniff this out. ;-)
