I didn't watch them so I can't comment on the show but I've bought
records by them before so I might be able to fill you in on them a bit.
Do you remember Liegh Bowery? Sort of Performance artist , celebrated
night clubber and *very* strange dresser? One of his more memorable
outfits was Bowler hat, _big_ painted smile 12 times too big for his
face which was otherwise made up clown-like, green jacket with circular
mirrors, pink tu-tu, umbrella etc. Ring any bells? I think he was more
often on the News South-East more often than any music programs withs
his socially deviant prankster behaviour. Any after a few years of being
famous for being famous he formed Minty, who are a sort of trance -
jazz- house techno ish outfit of the type much despised on this list.
Leigh sadly died last year, but the band carried on.
I couldn't believe it when I saw them on the bill. Only Take That
could've been less appropriate :) You'll laugh but apart from the people
I know just _because_ they're Hawkfans, I probably know more people who
dig Minty than the Hawks'!

That's reasurring. Reading the list, I was begininng to think I'd had
one too many to appreciate what was going on, because I was too busy
running around shouting a lot, socialising and laughing my head off!

Erm, Is that six posts? Great, it's lunchtime already, what an
exhausting morning. (I love being my own boss!)
