The Fender Pro is a tube amp. It's really great-- and it goes up to 12! Beats
Nigel Tufnel by a whole digit!

Last night saw Eric Ambel (ex-Joan Jett, Del Lords, who when not producing,
is now in a band with the guy who WAS the Georgia Satellites, Dan Baird) and
complimented him on his excellent taste--he was using the same model. He said
he's been turning everybody on to 'em.
It does hum a little, but it's the deal of the century.

We are using it a lot on our new album. The answer to your question, Theo, is
that we recorded 15 songs (but a couple will probably be saved for one reason
or purpose or another). All the basic tracking and most leads are done, a
couple of lead vocals are keepers, and now we're doing the vocals and
whatever else occurs to us at the moment. Don't really want to spoil the
surprises, but it's as much of a jump between Trepanation and this one as
Trep was a evolutionary step from Eponymous. The sounds are better than ever
(partly due to an improvement in rooms, partly due to the involvement of a
really great and extremely knowledgable engineer, Paul Special-- so we didn't
have to do it all ourselves, and engineering is not any of our areas of
expertise, just something we did out of utter necessity). It's very live
sounding. We think it's the best thing we've done so far. And can't wait til
it's ready for everyone to hear. There's really a lot of growth in all areas.
With each thing we do, we try to improve, and if you liked Trepanation, well,
this will even be better....
