I'm also using elm with pico as an editor, from within a telnet window in
Win95.

I've got no problem with your messages (any of them in this thread).
My elm mail screen shows them with an 'M' in one of the columns to the
left of the mail item (next to the 'N' indicating a new message). I
assume this stands for a mime binary attachment.

That attachment gets deleted whenever I delete the message.

There have been some messages that I have been recieving from others that
do have garbage characters across the bottom of the message. realizing
what they are, I have just been ignoring them.
