What time period was this? He didn't look too good without the makeup on
in the 80s... did he shoot up or enjoy the odd nosefull (would have to be
alot with the latter :)

Ollis also used something called Mandrax, Mandies as slang. I know it was some
type of over the counter drug. I also read an account of Syd Barrett rubbing
the stuff into his hair, go on stage and and basically veg out with melted
gunk running down his face... I have no idea what it originally was used for
but it sounds like some kind of depressant in large doses, in some type of
pill form??? Ollis also apparantly always carried laxatives and a roll of
toilet paper with him because Mandrax, like some other drugs, cause
constipation.......
