No promises cos I've never used it but you try  pubnews.demon.co.uk or
pubnews.demon.net  I'm not sure if you Telnet into or set your  offline
newsreader to connect to it but it's a public access newsfeed for non-
Demon memebers and it's actually up most of the time.
