>Anyway, I hope the catalog would be remastered, and maybe add
extra tracks that were recorded but not released, and maybe stuff like
"I
Love the Night" with all 3 verses (of course, I don't know exactly what
was originally recorded) and maybe some outtakes or something. To me
though, and Bolle and I disagree on this, I'd much rather have them
release stuff that hasn't been released, rather than releasing remasters
of stuff I've already got.
Oh, and to answer your question, I guess I don't know if there will be
BOC remasters...
>John
I'd like a little of both please. Remastered T&M, BOC, ST Feet Knees,
AOF, Specters and CE. It would help if they added some additional never
before stuff but how much of this did Columbia ever have. Granted we
got some demos on WoTT but there can't be much more left in the vualts.
Do artist royalties ever stop on sales? By this I mean did/does the
standard recording contract give artist a a royalty based on a number of
times a song is sold before all revenues go to the record company? If
so maybe we will never see remasters if Sony has to share the proceeds
with the bands. They'd have to sell a ton of copies just to cover the
cost of remastering, pressing and distribution. Add the artist share to
these costs and Sonmy probably begs off unless they license someone else
to take the risk.
BTW thanks guys for the help on the Chronicles. I finally timed out
no.1, added Wings Wetted Down and Feet version of Hot Rails and it will
fit a 90 min tape. On to C-2 and C-3.
