Yes, you're onto something here, the fact that you and I will agree to
disagree.  Live Chronicles is possibly my favorite Hawkwind album and to say
that the Heavy Metal phase was the worst, I can't personally tolerate early
songs of Hawkwind's on some albums, so what?  The Chronicle of the Black
Sword proved Hawkwind's talent for telling a coherant story while not falling
prey to the mundane tripe most so called story telling bands do.  I find the
lyrics emotionally charged and the music equal to the task.  Your comments in
my mind show no tolerance what-so-ever, for even I will 'suffer' through
songs I don't necessarily care for to get to others I enjoy.  If you don't
like something fine, but to say you don't like it is different from saying it
sucks and no one should.  That simply tells me your opinion is fairly
pointless.
