Well, there is a lot of truth in this in my experience. The first
Hawkwind I heard which I know stopped me in my tracks was Steppenwolf
but nothing much happened because I didn`t know who Hawkwind were. A
while later, someone was playing a tape and it was Levitation. I asked
who the band was and it was that name Hawkwind again. I promptly went
out and bought Leviation and to this day, I rate it as one of the most
finely crafted rock albums of all time!!! Yes, it was the first I bought
and I still think it is the best. I really cannot understand why some
people don't like it.
