no, because it was a standard weapon in the count brass series.
i forgot who, but someone posted the justification for the jewel being the
entity.
it was sentient, and threatened hawkmoon's life force.
BTW- i also am interested in knowing what the lyrics are for U2's hawkmoon
song.
i cant stand U2, so have never heard it.
