I think, as is mentioned later about the "violence and finesse," the sheer
musicianship and energy of the band as captured on that double LP set of
wonderfullness manages to make the thing great to listen to. as it starts
off w/"they'll hear it..," one does indeed. In that way the title is quite
apt--
its uncompromising cutting edge metal in its prime of life and at the verge
of something great.  The fact that "(DF)tR" (though pure Dharma in origin)
is an eternal staple of the classic rock radio blitz is a testament to how
much BOC
stylized and upgraded the standards of their genre.

For me the tracks from F/K were what made the "career of evil" compilation
amazing (the ear shattering demolition that ME 262 evoked immediately
became the standard of what all shows should sound like when they end);
they roared into my ear and made the 1st live disc my first boc cd in the
early 90's.

hope so.  so much good music was produced in the waning days of the 60s and
the early 70s its often hard to take it all of it in (not to mention find
some of it)
