Well, IMHO of course, Simon King is pretty much the god of sticks and skins.
He wasn't a fancy drummer - but that's not what Hawkwind are about.
Technically, maybe he's no Buddy Rich, but so what - he was the perfect
drummer for HW: a 100% pure BLANGA drummer!

By way of contrast, Ginger Baker is hard to fault on a technical basis.  But
he was rarely right for HW.
