Does anyone else here subscribe to The Tubular 1's MORNING FINAL as
well? As usual a great issue and according to Bolle, the Final one.
Regarding Rob's request for more Buck solo benefit concert info:
"Buck Dharma will be doing a concert in Atlanta, GA to benefit a very
special Godzilla fan who has been fighting a battle with brain cancer.
"The concert will be held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in
Duluth, GA on Friday, 4/11. A 2nd show will be added as the 1st one sells
out, on Saturday, 4/12.
"Profits will benefit the Ricky Browning Fund and the Children's Hospice
Division of Hospice Atlanta."
The story goes on to say that the 10-yr-old Ricky believes Godzilla is
fighting his brain tumor, which is in remission, and that after
listening to "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" he is no longer afraid of dying.
Tickets range from $25 to $500 ("Platinum Level" where you can "meet Buck
Dharma" at a fund raising dinner before the shows. Call 1-800-211-1720
for more info.
No mention of what Buck plans to play and in what format (presumebly
"Unplugged"?).
In other news, BOC plan to play in Birch Hill NJ, Hersey PA &
Wilkes-Barre PA on 3/21,22,27 respectively. They plan to tour with Pat
Travers, Foghat & Steppenwolf (hmmmmm...) in something called the "Summer
Daze Tour" during the last days of May:
5/29-Portland OR; 5/30-SF (that's me); 5/31-Reno NV as well as a whole
bunch of dates throughout the rest of the country in June. Anybody know
about this? Is Old Milwaukee or Pabst sponsoring? Lollapalooza watch
out :-)
