The sound on "Explaining" is much clearer, I think. I remember on
"Vertigo", when Tommy would distort his vocals and mix them waaay down so
that I could barely tell there was "singing" going on. "What's that
annoying buzzing in the music? Oh, wait - that's the lyrics."
As far as the guitar and bass, none of the members is Jimi Hendrix of
course, but I'm impressed anyway. There's less emphasis than before on
the guitar and bass in favor of the sequencers and drum (machine). Don't
worry, though. It's nothing like "Business of the Future". :-)
