Yes, boys and girls, at 0615 this bright and sunny AM, the ol' Sony did what it does every day at that time. When Morning Edition was finished doing the bit about the mass suicides in CA, the "bumper music" came on. Damned if it wasn't the guitar fade-out from "Tenderloin"! Then they played a little snippet from "Morning Final" (still one of my favorite BOC songs, especially Bucks' solo in the bridge)! Last time the radio jolted me awake that hard was when the announcement came that Zappa died...

This may portend to be a momentous day...or not.
