Yeah, I thought the gig was pretty bad except for Golden Void,
Aerospaceage Inferno, and half of Brainstorm. The bass was so inaudible
in the rest of the show and Ron skipped the key change at the end of
Brainstorm (best part of the track IMHO) that I was wondering if Ron
could play bass at all.

Added to that was a venue with abysmal acoustics and Captain Rizz's inane
rantings screwing up great tracks like Space Is Their Palestine. Then
there was the fact that there was no support band and Hawkwind came on
at just after 8pm ensuring that some fans missed a lot of the gig. Also
instead of changing some slow numbers to fast ones to match the mood of
an early evening audience, they stuck to the programmed setlist.

Definitely one of the worst Hawkwind gigs I've ever been at.

Thankfully at Glasgow they were excellent, with Ron well up in the mix.
They could still do to lose Captain Rizz, and this time the synths were
far too low in the mix, but the gig maintained a mood of early 70's
Hawkwind with a lightshow that probably had been rescued from the 70's.

Ron doesn't come across nearly as well doing Moorcock tracks as he does
doing Calvert stuff and IMHO they should drop Sonic Attack and Warriors
because they just seem too weak. Reptoid Vision seems too much like the
weaker Alien tracks too.

Ah! A great big THANK YOU goes to you. If you chat to 'em again, they
need the synth up a bit now. Or maybe te high end of my hearing has gone
after Friday night...
