>Now, whether he mean the completion of EW or some solo stuff
or studio work for someone else is anyone's guess as he never made
that clear and the questioner never followed it up...
I believe I had heard that Buck say while he is 100% committed to BOC,
the Buck Dharma band would probably play somewhere again in the future,
perhaps for another noble cause.
>But why go all out on a record only to break up?
I don't think this is the case, BUT - one could be cynical and say that
they are breaking up and have no intention of finishing the album and
are just not telling, and by doing so keeping fan interest up for either
the current catalog or whatever side-projects they may do. I don't believe
that, but some might. PLEASE - DON'T ANYONE POST SAYING THAT BOC-L FOLKS
BELIEVE THIS STUFF!! That is, I've seen posts on other forums where
people say "I heard the following was said on BOC-L..." and then there is
a number of people who offer some negative opinions based on this. I am
NOT suggesting that this is what BOC is doing, and do not wish to be
mis-quoted because of this post.
>Now, the other
question is: who will release the record?
Don't know, but I gotta believe that SOMEBODY would be willing to - I
suspect that there might be money issues, and the band wants the biggest
profit obtainable (can't blame them), but I really believe that time is
not on BOC's side - the longer they wait, the less fans and name recognition
they will have. I imagine that a 1994 release of EW would have sold
more copies than a 1998 release will - unless of course, somehow this
record is picked up by the current music fans, perhaps with a hit single
or something. That would be nice, but I want this album not because I
have hopes that BOC will "make it big" again, but because BOC's current
fans (myself included) have waited long enough.
