have to agree on this.... the whole "Pliocene Exile" saga was excellent..
blends SF and elements of Fantasy into a believable story.. and the
"Galactic Milieu" Trilogy and linking "Intervention" books between the
two were pretty good too, but basically just straight forward SF
and yes, JM is a woman.... collaborated on a book with Marion Zimmer
Bradley and Andre Norton too.......
