When my wife was giving birth to our daughter, it was two puffs for her...

You can also hook it up to your car/'bike/moped for better overtaking *giggle*
There's also a story of Owsley opening up a cylinder of nitrous in the mens
room at LAX when the Dead where travelling somewhere. Unfortunately, he
hadn't got a proper regulator on it, so the expansion cooling started to
freeze up the valve & it started to make a sort of squealing noise. Weir
(I think) found him trying to prop it under a running hot water tap in
order to be able to leave the thing to fulfil his attempted practical joke.
