The dentist?  Yeah, I guess I know what you mean.  To point out a
less extreme example, though my fiancee is willing to admit that
drinking alcoholic beverages is not a sin in itself, she still
can't stand being around alcohol, and would have a major problem
if I started drinking.  Anything.  So, if I have a choice between
     1) getting a buzz with my friends and coming home to an
        extremely disappointed wife, and
     2) staying sober, then coming home to make love to the
        second most wonderful gift God has given to me,

..well, let's just say I'm smarter than the dentist. :-)
