OFF: HIGH RISE

... sorry to yell, but my ears are still ringing from last night!

High Rise, from Tokyo, played an incinderary ultra-blanga rock blowout in
San Francisco last night.  Ultra-fuzzed bass, thoroughly over-the-top
guitar leads (Ron Asheton on bad speed?), pummeling rhythms ... you get the
idea.  They're only playing five shows in the US (San Jose tonight, then
Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia), and this is the first time they've
been in the country (after releasing at least four studio albums, one live
album, and dozens of cassettes in Japan for the last 10 years or so).  If
you can check 'em out, I'd highly recommend it ...
