100% seconded.
CD-R:s has turned into more and more like tapes.
I'm a bit sad for the excellent copies in the Nova Drive series though -
they deserves better company, but there has to be a clear definition - and
this is fair.
I had thought about this for myself for a while, and my own definition tend
to be CD-R or not CD-R.

>Also: Have I missed any out here?

in the codex:
Live at the Bottom Line, New York, 1978
Space Rock from London (too good to be a boot!)
Orgasmatron
Theta Orionis

Out of the Codex:
Damnation Alley
Time of the Hawklords
(don't know if the last one ever made it into the codex in the first place...)

>Hawkwind Live at Stonehenge and Watchfield (vinyl boot of Weird 103)

>Solstice at Stonehenge (Yugoslav vinyl boot of Stonehenge 83)
>Live at St. Albans - (live 79 boot CD released in fair numbers)
>Kings of Speed, Lords of Light (semiofficial boot CD of German gig)
>Assassins of Allah (compilation vinyl boot)
>Dawn of Hawkwind (compilation CD boot)
>Rock City (CD boot of 93 gig)
>The Cyberspace Conspiracy (vinyl boot)

>Hawkwind Live at the Kinetic Playground (CD boot)
>Atomhenge 76 (CD boot)

>Theta Orionis (CD boot)
