Other than John Swartz, one of my favs is Bryan Beller of Mike Keneally and
Beer For Dolphins.  He's not a big soloist, but he plays parts that are
unbelievable.  He does amazing things while keeping some very complicated
pieces of music together.  Check out their "Half Alive in Hollywood" CD for
some seriously crazy bass stuff.
