You've also been duped I think.  E-mail can't carry a virus.  Only
executables like .exe or macros in documents and spreadsheets can
actually get inside your computer and trash it.

Every now and then someone issues a warning that says "spread this to
everyone you know,  it will trash your computer!"  Result ....
everyone gets seventy kazillion copies of the same mail which crashes
the mail server and does amazing things to your free hard disk space!

Oh the inventiveness of bored teenagers :-)  (Was I ever that bad,
Mum?    Mum??  Why are you staring at me like that?)
