BITUSA notes by Dave Marsh say it was his first try at producing.

Hmmm good question. I think, if i remember the interview that Deborah
"super vocalist" Frost did with Albert for Modern Drummer magazine he said
something about the producer. For SWU/SFG sessions, he did not name the
producer explicitly, but gave Albert a tape of drummers in the exotic
realms of the Pacific who cried "Hiawachaiuh!" Which for a while was my
Email name tag in 96 or so. Id have thought if it was SP Albert night have
named him as such.
For what its worth, SFG material is probably some of the best stuff the
(nascent) BOC performed.
