     Yes, but there is a school of thought which suggests Dave
feels overly self-conscious about his guitar playing these days,
keeping himself low at gigs and also perhaps mixing it back in
1999 Party?  Not necessarily to  reflect current sound, but
stemming from a cause which also shapes current sound.

     Unfortunate, if true, since Dave's guitar *rules* and more
or less *is* Hawkwind :)
