Hi Folks...
I just learned that Doug Walker (aka Dr. Synth) of Alien Planetscapes has
been suffering from some serious health problems, and so I contacted Marc
Power (who is here also, I believe) to see if this info should be made
public such that we could try to help him out a bit.
Marc's response is below. If you haven't heard AP yet, you should order
yourself a copy of their 1997 'Life on Earth' CD (see info below). It's
brilliant, and I named it to my list of 20 quintessential space rock albums
(of all-time, mind you). And if you've already got it, then perhaps you
could pre-order some upcoming AP material. I think I'll do that myself to
support Doug's tireless efforts for all these years to get this music out
there, and to help him make ends meet during these difficult times.

P.S. Marc, if you're here, could you tell us what the prices are for the
May/June releases?? Is it $15 for Blacklist?? And what for the 4CD-R set?

This is Marc Power typing for Doug Walker who is on the phone right now.
Doug has had some serious medical problems with degenerative heart disease,
but he is on the mend now and expects to be back to live performances come
April.
He has had to drastically change what he eats, and tells me that he had a
dream about french fries last night.
He thanks you for your concern, and thinks it is great that people are there
for him during this period of ill-health.
The AP followup to their debut CD, 'Life on Earth' will be entitled:
'Victims of the Blacklist' and is expected to be out in June.
He is planning to repackage as a 4CD-R set all the material of himself and
Louis Boone (a.k.a. Professor Electron of BØRN to GØ) of AP from the
1982-1983 era, which should be released in May.
The 1991-1992 Alien Planetscapes incarnation also has a lot of unreleased
material that he is planning to do something with.
He appreciates any support that people are able to give him and the band at
this time and would like to state that he is taking deposits and pre-orders
on all of these items right now.'Life on Earth' is available from the
address below for $15 post paid.
He is looking forward to an exciting 1999 and playing for all the fans.
Perhaps you could post this to the various lists for him.
Thank you all
Marc Power
for and on behalf of Doug Walker.
