Most of you guys know this stuff, but for those who don't:-

Generally speaking, downloading a file isn't a problem, and most mail
clients will pull in attachments regardless.  The important thing is not to
activate any executables unless you know what they are or have
virus-checked them. The additional caveat goes with MS-Word docs that may
have malicious "virus" macros embedded - though I don't use the Microsnot
products myself I'm still cautious.
