Master of Puppets: In response to threat of legal action Indiana
University Thursday re-imposed a ban on music utility Napster.  Like
Yale, Indiana University was promptly dropped from the lawsuit. In
related, but far more absurd news, a start-up Thursday launched
paylars.com, a Web site that allows fans to donate money to Metallica to
compensate the band for its monetary losses suffered at the hands of
digital pirates.
