Yeah, this is true but Dave is not singing :

I know what a halibut is but I would also query "Halibut which way I'll
go"

BTW and FWIW, I'm 35, lived in London all my life and I've never heard
gobstoppers referred to as "penny gobbers", but that wasn't why I was
arching an eyebrow, Roger Moore-style, at this particular turn of
phrase.
