SLOTERDIJK pulls out of Musicstock event, alerts ticket holders.

 The "space rock" project Sloterdijk is announcing the cancellation of
their July 4th appearance in Weedsport NY.

The concert, part of a festival which was originally billed as
"Musicstock", has been through a constant series of schedule, venue and
date changes, brought on largely by the public outcry against the
gathering.

The people of Weedsport and the surrounding area have succeeded in
shutting down the music, which was to be loosely affiliated with the
Cayuga county fair.

Although seriously mismanaged already, this last legal battle resulted
in the cancelation of all musical performances on July 3, 4, & 5.

Now calling itself another name, the event is struggling to pay for
itself and has once again proposed a venue and date change. The original
benefit concert has now become a major "pay to play affair", with slots
going to bands who throw in the most money. Out of the nearly 60 bands
who had originally volunteered for this event, only about 20 will appear
when and if the event secures the legal permission to convene at a ski
resort in Rome NY, on July 28th & 29th.
