I forgot to mention that The Enid did play - for what seemed like a bloody eternity. In fact  Hawkwind didn't do an encore because there was no time left at the end of the night.
I think this is the only time I've never seen them do an encore, although they might not have done one at Futurama in '79 (also QH Leeds)but my memory is hazy on that one
