OFF: Simple Minds Alive & Kicking

Unfortunately the link failed but it dragged a query from deep in my
memory, perhaps someone can confirm or deny.

I remember (and I might be totally wrong) Simple Minds supported Hawkwind
at a couple of London shows back in the late 70's or early 80's last
century. Anybody got any idea?
