The Murmurs, for those who have not heard of them, were Leisha Hailey and
Heather Grody; they made 4 albums in the 1990s and are my favourite non-
space rock band.  Generally their music was somewhat girl band in style
with a punky, anarchic edge to it.  Leisha is probably best known as kd
langs ex-girlfriend and Heather's girlfriend is the woman who plays the
cute female doctor in ER.  They were big on the Gay Pride circuit in the US.
