Don't you know? The delete button is there to trim away the parts below
"----- Original Message -----" that are not pertinent to the reply,
Andy. Try it some time.
I've always found the "use the delete button" a specious argument at the
best of times. My delete button has been taking a hammering lately,
which is worrying: my computer is an old DEC 3000/300 system, and I
don't think you can get DEC LK201 keyboards anymore. So, once my delete
key wears out, I'm up the creek... :-(

That was so funny, I wet myself. But actually, that would be great, if
they kept their promise. I'm sure he'd brook a short term inconvenience
to alleviate a long term improvement in the signal to noise ratio.
Personally, I've found procmail to be my saviour as of late. It's cut
down a lot of the "irrelevant postings" coming from this list. When I
read up on the scoring function, I'm sure I'll be able to tweak it to be
a bit less heavy handed with the redirection to /dev/null, but there's
no hurry as far as I'm concerned... :-)
Cheers,
Paul.
