HW:strangest opening acts (was OFF: Quarkspace et al.)

I saw 'The Softies' open for the Hawks at Peterborough during the early
eighties. They were a duo featuring a spitting skinhead vocalist and a Texan
guitarist of doubtful persuasion. Needless to say the bar was well
patronised during their set!
