At this point in time, I don't think they're capable of a secret treaties
style album for the simple fact that they don't have that band image
anymore. If 3OC had managed to keep that slick, conceptually driven and
WEIRD packaging/lyric accepting ethos through the 80's it would be possible.
Although AoF and its successors weren't as
running-track-together-bound-by-Pearlman's-hoohah they still managed to
present a different, but similar BOC image -- they still were a thinking
band but more human than full of dizbuster and Nazi-related (non-existent
label even when such a change could be levelled at them) oddballism.

Part of it is the band's fault too. Look what happened on the heels of FoUO
--- they gave us Revolution by Night with "eyes on fire" -- say bye bye to
image conscious/overall package sensitive band. we've been waiting for STII
since 1981. Sure, its cover art was kinda neat... but the content of the
album just wasn't as together was it? it didn't get any better to say the
least in Club Ninja daze.

to the extent that CoTHM has an image to project- its the biker bloom and
pop dharma show. Eric singing how bad*ss he can be in various Shirley
created roles, not to mention all the bike stuff in eye of the hurricane,
and Buck doing the sensitive quirk/residue of ambiguity riff, with A.Lanier
doing something in the background. what it is, the world will never know.
Having said that, I really like bucks song stylings these days. his songs
are more suited to a buck dharma sideproject or Brain Surgeons Equivalent
than the 30 yr. Spectres of B.O.C.

chances are it wont fare much better than HF does in set list representation
in a few years. who knows.

gimme room to rage
