Being a bass player and part-time drummer, I find there playing quite good.
Very appropriate for the songs with just enough flash to keep it
interesting.

Maybe I'm just growing tolerant in my old age, but I find little to complain
about with the new album. Great songs, great performances. If you don't
like it, that's cool. I'm just glad that I love it!

Now, thanks to Theo, I listened to tRBN yesterday. My conclusion is that
the songs are actually pretty good. It's the production that makes it, how
would you say, lame?

This album was produced and mixed for the shopping mall. The guitars (esp
lead) and drums are so far down in the mix. When the drums do stand out,
it's when the electronic drums are used. I realize that this was the rave
of the early 80's and actually like a lot of the sounds going on then, but I
don't think it works for these songs. These songs cry for guitars, bass and
drums. Let Go is cheesy, but it's probably the most "real" sounding song on
the disc. It actually sounds like people were there when it was recorded.

Just my opinion,

Brad
